Bravely Default

Bravely Default follows the story of main character Tiz, a humble shepherd and the lone survivor of a cataclysmic event, as he joins a group of loyal companions on a journey to restore balance to the world. The battle system is what differentiates Bravely Default from other RPGs. Here players can strategically choose when to initiate two complementary commands: Brave and Default. This innovative system encourages players to think carefully about strategy during every enemy encounter. Selecting "Brave" lets players increase the number of actions a character can take in a turn, while "Default" allows players to store actions for later use.

Bravely Default is a turn-based role-playing game set in the world of Luxendarc, where four great elemental crystals keep nature in balance until they are swallowed by a spreading darkness. The story follows four young heroes brought together by fate: Tiz Arrior, the lone survivor of a village destroyed by a mysterious chasm; Agnès Oblige, the devoted vestal of the Wind Crystal; Ringabel, an amnesiac wanderer clutching a strange journal; and Edea Lee, a soldier who turns against her own army. Guided by the fairy Airy, the group sets out to reawaken the imperiled crystals and restore light to the land. Their journey takes them across a richly detailed world and pits them against a powerful order determined to stop them at any cost.
