Princess Peach visits the dazzling Sparkle Theater, only for the wicked sorceress Grape and her henchmen, the Sour Bunch, to storm the building and seize control, trapping the audience and performers inside. There Peach meets Stella, the theater's guardian, and the two join forces to take it back. Stepping into the theater's many stage plays, Peach takes on a host of starring roles, from swordfighter and detective to ninja and figure skater, using each new guise to rescue the captured performers and drive Grape's minions from the stage.
