Filthy Kitchen

Filthy Kitchen is an 8-bit homebrew action-platformer originally developed for the 2016 Nesdev competition. The game is themed around the chore of cleaning a disastrously messy kitchen, with the primary objective being to navigate the environment to locate a missing broom. As players move through the game, they utilize a swatter to crush flies, featuring a combo system that awards massive score multipliers for taking out multiple flies in a single swing. The gameplay also requires players to dodge thematic environmental hazards, such as dirty dishes and out-of-control appliances, while collecting fresh food to restore health and increase their score. The game is available to play directly in a web browser or as a downloadable ROM for NES emulators.

The kitchen is so dirty, and the only way to clean it is to find the broom. Along the way, use your swatter to kill any flies you see. Kill multiple flies with a single swing to get combos and earn high scores! Avoid obstacles like dirty utensils and rogue appliances. Pick up any unspoiled food for points and health bonuses.
