Storyline

A side-scrolling platformer and the fifth entry in Sega's Alex Kidd series, Enchanted Castle continues the adventures of the plucky hero Alex Kidd. Alex makes his home on Planet Aries, a world ruled by his brother, King Igul. His comfortable life is upended by a startling rumor: his long-lost father, King Thor, may still be alive and dwelling on the distant Planet Paperock. Determined to reunite with the father he thought gone, Alex sets off across the stars to Paperock in search of him. There he must journey through eleven varied worlds, leaping past hazards and dispatching foes while making use of an array of quirky gadgets and vehicles, from a motorbike and a pedal-powered helicopter to a pogo stick. Along the way, Alex faces off against a host of opponents in high-stakes games of rock paper scissors, wagering his progress on each match as he pushes ever deeper toward the truth about his father.
