Wildfrost is a roguelike deck-building game set in a frozen world gripped by an endless, unnatural winter known as the Wildfrost. The player takes on the role of a leader who sets out from the last bastion of warmth, the city of Snowdwell, on a perilous expedition to end the eternal cold at its source. Along the way, they gather powerful artifacts and recruit a band of companions drawn from three distinct tribes: the Snowdwellers, hardy human survivors skilled in elemental magic and combat; the Shademancers, practitioners of dark necromantic arts; and the Clunkmasters, a race of gnomes who fight with clever machinery and automata. Battles play out as turn-based card duels, with the leader and their allies deployed across a shifting battlefield against waves of monsters. Should the leader fall, the run ends, but rescued companions can return to aid future attempts as the player braves the icy wilds again and again in search of an end to the storm.
