Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2

Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 is an action-adventure hack and slash game, an enhanced version of Ninja Gaiden II with updated visuals, higher resolution, and reworked content. Players control the ninja Ryu Hayabusa through combat that combines melee and ranged weapons against large numbers of enemies and oversized bosses. The version adds an online cooperative mode and three additional playable characters. It was later included in the Ninja Gaiden: Master Collection, and an Unreal Engine 5 remaster titled Ninja Gaiden 2 Black followed in 2025.

The game follows the ninja Ryu Hayabusa and shares its story with Ninja Gaiden II. Alongside Ryu's campaign, this version adds chapters starring three other playable characters. Ayane is a kunoichi from the friendly Mugen Tenshin ninja clan who aids Ryu. Momiji is a member of the Hayabusa clan who fights with a naginata. Rachel is a Fiend hunter from the Holy Vigoor Empire who carries the curse known as the Fiend's Blood.
