Storyline
Set in the near future, Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Future Soldier gives the storied tactical shooter series a high-tech, futuristic edge, outfitting its elite special operators with adaptive camouflage, drones, and cutting-edge weaponry. The story opens in disaster when a four-man Ghost Recon squad, dispatched to disrupt weapons trafficking in Nicaragua, is wiped out by a dirty bomb detonated remotely as they inspect an ambushed convoy. In response, Major Scott Mitchell assembles a new team of Ghosts codenamed Hunter and sends them to trace the bomb back to its source. The player leads this squad on a globe-spanning campaign, following the trail of illicit arms through Bolivia, Zambia, Nigeria, Pakistan, and beyond, rescuing informants and capturing dealers along the way. As Hunter pulls at each thread of the conspiracy, the team uncovers a shadowy network far more dangerous than a simple weapons ring, one whose ambitions threaten to ignite a wider international crisis.
